Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri district has booked a sarpanch and two other persons for posting sensitive comments and posts on social media platform.

Sarpanch Liyaqit Ali from a panchayat of Rajouri posted a status on social media platform on which two other persons made sensitive comments having potential of disturbing peaceful atmosphere.

Taking note, police has booked all three persons who include Sarpanch from Fatehpur Danna, Liaqit Ali, Showkat Betab and Chowdhary Naseer Ahmed and a case FIR No.281/2019 under section 153-A RPC has been registered in Rajouri police station. 

Rajouri police appeals all people to use social media in a constructive way and for personal as well as professional growth only.
*Srinagar police initiates legal proceedings for spreading hatred on social media platform*

```May 16: Recently a video surfaced on social media platform which was promoting hatred against a particular sect thereby promoting feelings of animosity and hatred between different sections of the society.

As such legal proceedings were initiated after proper registration of case under relevant sections at Police Station Safakadal.

After strenuous efforts police was able to track the accused namely Feroz Ahmed Nath son of Ab Rehman Nath resident of Palpora who has been taken into custody.

All sections of society have expressed their satisfaction over the prompt police action.

Srinagar police has appealed people not to pay heed to the rumours and fake news and not to fall prey to the propaganda of such elements inimical to peace. Srinagar police is committed to take strict legal action against the rumour-mongers and any person spreading hatred among various sections of the society.
